Ryan’s rich, soulful voice brings fresh life to the songs of yesterday, songs from the world of jazz,swing and romantic ballads.
Having studied under Laura Zakian, the vocal tutor at Goldsmiths College, University of London, Ryan has gone on to perform to appreciative and admiring audiences across London and the South East. Venues such as the Crazy Coqs in Leicester Square, The Prince of Greenwich and the Chatham Maritime Jazz Festival where he performed with the Roan Kersey-Lawson Big Band.
Ryan has also performed at various venues accompanied by the very accomplished pianist Roger Lewin, who has also accompanied acts such as Boney M and Hot Chocolate.
Ryan’s repertoire includes songs by Gershwin, Porter and Sammy Cahn and is influenced by the voices and music of the legends of the past such as Sinatra, Bennett, Munro and Nat King Cole.
With a voice that moves effortlessly from upbeat swing and jazz numbers to slow ballads, Ryan will transport you to the era of the great male singers with a richness of tone all his own.
