The Battle of Baxter Bakery

The Battle of Baxter Bakery

This delightful tale set in 1950’s England, follows the fortunes of the delicious cakes baked at The Baxter Bakery, which have been miraculously brought to life by the power of alchemy.

The story, which blends the humour of ‘Wallace and Gromit’ with the charm of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will appeal to both young and old alike as we learn of the feud that exists between The Cream Cakes, who think they are better than their arch rivals The Doughnuts.

The situation reaches boiling point when Private Strawberry is squished by a cream, and as a result, war becomes inevitable! Alliances are forged on both sides with the continental cakes, the Gingerbread men, Chelsea Buns and many others taking sides. Only the Swiss Buns remain neutral, refusing to take up arms against either opponent. But the cakes have other challenges to contend with that will threaten their very existence.

Norman Sneedly, the ever unpopular Assistant Manager at the bakery suspects something is afoot, and plans to get to the bottom of it. Then there’s the mysterious Thomas Rhyde who’s been acting even more strangely than usual, and what is it about him that seems so familiar to Veronica Sneeze-Bottom?

Find out if the creams will cower and curdle or will the doughnuts desert and die? Which one will find their fate is sealed in being squished and sent to Strawberry Fields, the cake heaven where they can live forever?

We all love our hero’s. And in this tale, they might be those whom we least expect….
